  • On his podcast he said he hasn’t eat or slept since Kobe’s passing. He’s just been watching highlights of him and Kobe. Y’all pray for this man.

    • @Raghu Seetharaman alao kobe believed in god so i don't inderstand ur point very much. please explain more.

    • @Raghu Seetharaman im not going to tell u ur wrong but i think instead of insulting our belief u should just focua on how this honors Kobe. I would much rather u say what u think but don't insult us.

    • @Raghu Seetharaman u don't need to say that if u know there are people that do believe in god. U can have ur opinion but just don't say it when we are all grieving. Please.

    • @Little Foot shaq loved kobe like a older brother. They were so close u wouldn't believe it. Dont say that. Its rude to him. He is still grieving.

    • @chowdersalt that is fair.

  • Seeing Shaq cry is like seeing your dad cry for the first time.

    • I've seen my dad cry one time, when his mother (my grandma) died. I will never forget that. My dad has never been a person to express many emotions but all I could do was hug him in that moment. RIP KOBE.

    • Ive only seen my mom cry and she made me cry with the sadness she was emitting.

    • - Stiegosaurus - That was not really funny please delete that comment now

    • @Arnau Jaime Me neither; but I am sure it would have been this traumatic! R.I.P. Daddy!! 😪

    • Arnau Jaime same

  • "I don't talk to you guys as much as I need to" - takes a lot to admit that.

  • Shaq should do Kobe's HOF Speech. A Champion, a Legend, and a Hero.

  • That’s the most sincere and heartfelt speech I have ever seen. My condolences go to you brother for losing ur young brother. Stay strong and ur message will live with me for ever.

  • Man Seeing Shaq break down like that, it’s one of the most saddest things I’ve seen in a while.

    • I know so true, I was done for the day 😥 but I absolutely love His realness in saying reach out more to others because work will always be there but people will not .... Praying for Shaquille and his family they have experienced a lot 💕

    • We gotta remember it’s okay to break down...... We are not supposed to lose people this way...... It hurts😰

    • iT WAS BEYOND HARD ...

    • So many has 'left him' within a short period of time. So yes.. speaking on it is somewhat therapeutic.

    • His whole life is coming down on him And he has to talk about it to the world just imagine how hard that is for him. He isnt even given a chance to grieve in peace. He needs to express all of this on the air for the whole world to see

  • I hope Shaq is getting counseling. He's hurting more than anyone except Kobe's family and close friends. His sister dying and then this. He's going through all the "what ifs" that people go through when they lose someone.

  • “We’re not gonna be able to joke around at his HOF ceremony, we’re not going to be able to say ‘hi I got five you got four’” I’m not crying you are

    • I’ve never cried this much as an adult. My Los Angeles childhood was ripped out. I was 11-13 when they 3peated. RIP Kobe and Gigi 💔😭

    • 😞

    • @Juan Gabriel Done?

    • Who cares man im done

    • Jaryd Jackson we are all crying. No shame in crying to begin with in this situation 😞

  • Shaq a guy full with pride broke down after a close one died. That's real love. Rest in peace GOAT

    • trend tneras that’s fair. I got to see him come to my college at North Dakota state university 2 years ago, and I just got the impression he really is a good guy at heart which is what matters. I mean he is a legend and we all have an ego to some degree.

    • @Chubbs Peterson dude he is funny but he is full of pride. He always admitted it ,and as a fan iwitnessed his charactercteristic. He is alpha guy, they don't usually show a soft side to a camera or to anyone. They hated to be seen as weak that's why they are sensitive if they hear things they don't like, meaning their pride was hurt in will get angry. He just broke down w/out realizing it and he don't care

    • trend tneras I don’t think he’s full of pride he’s just full lol he’s a big teddy bear, in a great way and humble way. I wouldn’t change a thing with Shaq if I could

  • I suddenly lost my father almost 3 years ago, the day before I was set to graduate High School. I was 18. When you experience a major loss like that, you get this feeling like “well at least I’m ready for anything now, if I can handle this I can get through anything” I’ve experienced losses since that day, but Kobe was the first one to deliver a similar since of shock that I felt when my father died. I can relate to a lot of what Shaq is feeling, and I have nothing but respect for what he had to say in this video. A lot of people feel that way inside, but it is very hard to put into words the way he did. The sad reality of loss is that you never “get over it”. You just learn to live with it. And it sure will take some time. From a diehard Dallas sports fan, I will always honor you, Kobe. Rest In Peace, MAMBA AND GIANNA BRYANT💜💛

    • 💜

    • Jaden B FACTS my condolences it’s true I lost my father my king 7/13/2019

    • Respect.

    • Dats Gucci

    • houstonian here. bro my same sentiments. lost my dad on valentines day in 2016

  • Never would have ever imagined seeing Shaq in tears on national television... jesus, what a tragedy.

    • @Bigg Dave That's real talk bruh smh

    • Im from LA THE WHOLE CITY FEELS THE PAIN. THE WEIRDEST FEELING IN MY LIFE TIME.. LOVE U KOBE RIP GIGI AND THE OTHERS THAT PASSED AWAY IM SPEECHLESS

    • Nobody: Everyone: arguing about what “Jones Family” commented 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

    • @Cam Perry Nah I DONT do friends!! I have associates I talk to roughly once or twice at the least per month!! These dudes won RINGS together! Read the rest of the comments my G!! Obviously, I Won’t the only one thinking that! But RIP Black Mamba 🐍

    • @Glen Howarth NO need for The Disrespect and Name calling!! What are 5 years of age “Mate” Lol!! U went from zero to a thousand REAL quick!! Ain’t that serious dude! Go get Laid or something! I’ll be praying you do!! Lol

  • "I already don't sleep anwyay"😕😥 Heart goes out to you Shaq and all of Kobe's close friends and family

    • Get some sleep Shaq, a kind person is needed in this world so stick around.

  • Most heart felt thing I've ever heard. Shaq said it like it is. "I don't talk to you guys as much as I should". "I'm gonna do a better job".

  • This was the realist I've seen someone talk about this tragedy.

    • yeah idk which was tougher to watch, shaq's or McGrady's. kobe and McGrady were like best friends

  • Shaq mentioned something important. Take the time too keep in touch with those you love no matter how busy you are. Lesson for us all.

  • Man, I can’t BEGIN to imagine how Shaq is feeling. I’m hurting behind this, but in comparison, it doesn’t come close.

    • He doesn't feel anywhere near as bad as Kobes wife and daughters feel. Let's not forget that.

    • @K.Snow thank you its all for Kobe Bryant and GiGi ilaward.info/the/wyd-w/qainy21_qJy1dWE John Altobelli Kerri Altobelli Alyssa Altobelli and christina Mauser and Sara and Chester Payton and ara Zobayan R.I.P ilaward.info/the/wyd-w/qainy21_qJy1dWE

    • @Steve Gooden beautiful

  • I adore Shaq, for his huge heart, his personality and being so humble. I'm hugging you from here Shaq. I'm praying for you and I know I'm a no one, but please PLEASE know we care about you. You are a great man and you had a great brotherhood with Kobe. I also lost some key people in my life, left me hollow. Mad at the world for going on with their life without them. I totally understand how something so simple like sleep is so hard. How the quiet seems so loud. Love you Mr. O'Neil

  • Shaq and Kobe was the dynamic duo, I knew this would hurt him deeply.

  • Seeing Shaq crying really broke my heart 😥

    • It really did, he's the type of person that makes people smile when they are down. He's human though himself, poor guy.

  • The last time I talked to him, I told him to get 50, and he got 60. - That's the Shaq and Kobe relationship right there.

    • Guys he said in an interview today that he made a mistake. The last time they spoke in person was indeed in that TNT interview.

    • Shaq is telling us the last time they talked in that hardwood of Staples.

    • @jayjay yes they did, I think shaq meant last time they spoke in that arena maybe?

    • I remember they had a conservation on Twitter

    • I saw them in an interview about a year ago

  • Jerry West, Shaquille O’Neal, Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley, Dwyane Wade and Reggie Miller. Absolutely tremendous, riveting, raw and real. Everyone associated with NBAonTNT should be proud.

    • These interviews are so hard to watch. Keeping all those involved in my thoughts. As a Jordan fan, I wish I would’ve watched Kobe a little more. Being a “girl dad” myself, this is tough to handle.

    • @Tom Foolery never said they didn't money still creates happiness try losing ur family when it's the only thing u have it's way worse

    • @lord cobi you're just mad cuz you'll never be as good at anything as Shaq was at acting. He's got more talent in this spit than you do in your body. And if you prove me wrong and earn a pile of money u better hope people don't look down on you when you're at rock bottom.

    • @lord cobi man, how do you not understand that that pile of money doesn't change anything about what he's feeling. People grieve regardless of what's in their bank account. Stop being childish

    • lord cobi bruh I kinda agreed with until the superior status thing. Try again, please, you look bad. Then I read further down. Not everyone is destined to be rich and revered, but you can become well off. You don’t even need college if you pick up a trade. And money replacing emotion... stop 🛑.

  • Just want to give him a hug. Watching someone hurt like that is heartbreaking

  • “We coulda got 10 if we stayed together” Man...

    • I’m a Celtics fan....

    • Clayton Sheldon and you are crying for people who don’t know or care about you. Pity you.

    • goodmanfilife I get that and you’re correct but they didn’t communicate for 4 years now. Shaq was saying how cool they’d become but how cool were they if they never texted or spoke even though they are in the same circles?? That’s all I’m saying. In my opinion he came off as somebody who was putting a nice public face on a horrible tragedy that just occurred. Do people expect him to say “oh I hated him when we were teammates and we spoke a few years ago for the last time?”

    • @Steve Kay If you think this is faked I greatly pity you

  • Once they're gone you realize there where things need to say that were never said. That's what really hurts

    • exactly right. well said.

  • "What you've done for me is far greater than anything I've done for you. ... My love for this city, this team and for each of you will never fade. Thank you for this incredible journey." KOBE BRYANT

  • When Shaq said “ we’re not going to be able to joke around at his HOF ceremony” that one hurt😔

  • Seeing Shaq like this, is one of the most hardest thing ever. It breaks my heart and soul over it all. 😭 RIP Kobe, Gigi & the other family members and pilot

  • 3:59 "I don't talk to you guys as much as I need to." The way he said it hit me hard 😢

    • Just hit my homeboys and some relatives up and told 'em, #LoveYaMan .

    • Yeah that'll hitcha right in the feels 😪

    • that was a hard one ...

    • Man he is crying out & that took me out 😭

  • I can't remember the last time I cried because it's been so long. Shaq's words touched my heart and I felt like all the numbness i felt before just rushed over my body and I was able to feel his pain and mine.

  • Guys I’m crying hardcore man. When Shaq cried I felt it. I felt what we are all feeling. I don’t even know y’all but I love y’all. Spread the love ❤️

  • Shaq was always been the strongest person I have ever seen. Watching him so hurt kills me. The man has a heart 3 times the size of his body. I hope he gets some time to grieve before something else happens.

    • 🎯🎯🎯🎯💯

    • Yeah you could see his heart's broken. So sad

    • Well said

    • UrbanOutlawsSk8Co yeah seeing Shaq cry hit different

    • What I love about Shaq is that he loves his brothers (NBA/basketball/TNT colleagues.) Even though he and Charles Barkley have fought so much on TV, I know he loves CB. Shaq does have a huge heart.

  • Tears are falling from my face. Shaq confirmed what we all need to do with loved ones when we get too busy for them.

    • @Ean Muhammad you can never make the choice when it's your time. Great job contacting your fam

    • Just hit my homeboys and some relatives up and told 'em, #LoveYaMan .

  • I wish I could send a fraction of the happiness to Shaq that he's sent me throughout the years. Be good big man.

  • just goes to show how our lives are hanging by threads, multi-millionaire celebrities also suffer the vicissitudes of life, just like ordinary people do. My respect for Shaq has doubled 👍🏼

  • We love you Shaq! Be strong man! You know he wouldn't want it any other way!

  • You could just see the light and happiness has gone away from Shaq's eyes. He just looks emotionless and like he's living on a totally different planet.

    • @PoloRalphLaurenBear It’s honestly one of the most horrible things to go through is grief. Once you lose someone that meant a lot to you or a family member it changes your whole life forever. Happiness isn’t the same without that person in your life in anymore. It’s the one thing I hate about life is grief. If people read my comment and don’t understand I can’t explain the pain you just will understand loss when it happens.

    • That's called grief, it has several stages the first being denial that which he felt when he was working out and his son showed him the message about the report of his accident.

    • Shaq lost his sister in 2019 and now he's lost kobe Bryant who was not only a team mate but like a brother to him shaq is dealing with a lot of grief from two different people and their passings

    • Tom Kim when the biggest teddy bear sheds a tear, you know it’s world changing

    • Tom Kim Well of course, that’s how mourning works. Many days will pass, and Shaq will get back to how he used to be. He’ll always have a soft spot for Kobe though.

  • Probably one of the most genuine reaction from a friend... Condolences

  • It’s absolutely heart breaking to see Shaq in such pain. It’s easy to say these guys have perfect lives when in reality they suffer the same pains that we all do. I hope he can patch himself back together and continue trucking. Godspeed, Shaq.

  • Shaq got me crying. I was good until I saw this interview. LOVE KOBE and Giana! Rest In Peace.

  • This tore me up seeing these men like this! I loss my daddy suddenly 2 years ago on 1/26/18 and I'm still numb. This death thing is a monster!! U just have to deal with it. RIP KOBE!!

  • Shaq said he already stopped sleeping months ago when his sister died. Now.. Hate to see the big guy depressed cause he was always so happy.

    • @Carlos Santos Haven't heard of it.

    • @Wrestler X I love WWE. I will look it up.

    • Morris so sad, I think he’s next unfortunately this will deter his health a lot. Praying for a mending heart.

    • And it's very scary that Bishop Washington's Tweet to Kobe went viral the day he died! Fishy right???

    • I hope he is seeking help. Living in grief can destroy a soul.

  • Descanse en paz Kobe, su hija y todos los fallecidos en el trágico accidente. ♥️

  • God bless you Shaq. Hold the memories of your sister and Kobe deep in your heart. Stay strong. We love you guys for the memories you all brought to sports.

  • The first person I thought of when I heard that this was real was Shaq. I couldn't imagine how Kobe's parents, wife and kids must feel, but Shaq - man, I grew up with him and Kobe running the NBA. I remember watching the early days, the dynasty that began the 2000s, the run back in '10 when Kobe won his final ring - those were all memories that I'll cherish forever. Shaq seems devastated - like a broken man. I hope God grants him the serenity that he and everyone who has been affected by this will need. Get some rest, big man. Kobe and Gigi are in a better place. RIP, KB & GB. ✝️🏀🐍

  • That was the most heartfelt sincere words I have heard in a long while....we are all grieving for the loss of Kobe and his daughter. Along with the other family and pilot involved.

  • You can tell a piece of Shaq died with Kobe.

    • Tell your family and friends you love them. You never know how short life is. They say time heals all wounds but I still haven’t been able to fill the void of losing my father 10 years ago. We just learn to move on. I hope we all find some peace.

    • Geoffrey O'Sullivan yeah for sure, we have full coverage of the accident on our channel. Check it out.

    • @Alexander Christian I think he said "last time I talked to him was when, we were here and I asked him to get 50 and he got 60", which should be referring to Kobe's final game vs the Jazz. RIP Kobe.

    • Absolutely u can't fake his voice and seeing the pain in his face

    • @Alexander Christian Bruh look at him the man is grieving hard. Give him a break

  • This has to be the most emotional thing I’ve seen in a long time. I wish I could give that man a hug. #RIPKobe

  • Man, this broke my heart. Shaq is such a real dude.

  • Man just seeing Shaq shed tears made me shed a few. After all he's been through, the lost of Kobe cut him so deep

  • After learning about their relationship, I know this is devastating to Shaq!! They were like blood brother's with their ups and downs. But through it all they were UNSTOPPABLE as a team. They fought hard and played hard. They fed off each other to be "BETTER". I love how they squashed the beef before Kobe died.

  • "And now, I lost a little brother" that hurt.

    • "Were not gonna be able to joke" "Hah, I got 5 you got 4" I'm devastated 😭💔

  • Sorry for your loss Shaq!! RIP Kobe and all that lost their lives!!

  • Man, Shaq's statements really got to me. I watched these guys dominate the NBA when I was in HS. Followed their careers, and although I didn't know either one of these guys, it's definitely a piece of you that gets lost after following greatness for such a long time and it's just snatched away in a heartbeat. I think that's why it's impacted so many people.

  • Much respect for those words shaq. Take time enjoy life and show appreciation. Kids were on that chopper and it devastated me that day to know that they’ll never get to live as kids and grow up as adults and enjoy life. As a father I’m devastated for the families on board that chopper. I never was a Kobe guy but as he matured and played excellently for 19 years and retiring you get to appreciate and acknowledge his sheer will. He had that knack to elevate above his competitions best efforts. He was a stone cold assassin on the court who desired winning over everything. I respect him and his post career was just starting. It’s so sad and I still hurt to think about this tragedy.

  • We love you Shaq! Be strong man! You know he wouldn't want it any other way!

  • I hope Shaq does him a solid and does Kobe's HOF induction speech. Would be the best thing.

    • Vaughn reed jr I was just repeating Kobe’s words. He wanted either Jordan or Phil to induct him. A person who inducts a hall of famer is not exactly the person they are most close with. He probably wanted Jordan because MJ was his inspiration to become the best.

    • @Kimmzy 321 Is just American regional slang don't pay no mind

    • If we are going for a panel, i would include D Fish as well.

    • @Dadasha Duhdouche...Thanks for your heip.

    • Man that is a brilliant idea!

  • Oh my gosh, I just want to reach through my screen and give Shaq a hug. It’s never easy losing someone who meant so much to you. RIP KOBE BEAN BRYANT.

  • 3:45 "Dwade..." "Hold on, I wasn't finish." "Oh. I'm sorry. Go ahead." I don't think this was intentional, but this part did make me snicker. Very difficult to talk about this situation. It's hard seeing the Big Fella like this. You know it's hurting him. For that brief moment, knowing how this crew works and interact together, Shaq got me to laugh a little. RIP to the 9. 😞🙏

    • Yeah, i just think he saw that Shaq broke down at that moment and he wanted to take over so Shaq can calm himself a bit, but he was “I’m good, let me finish..” Really emotional...

    • Made me Sniker too, That's Shaq Though! And We love him for it!!!!

  • Shaq was literally the first person I thought about when I heard about this too such a tragic thing to happen R.I.P KOBE love you

  • My Goodness this is breaking my heart! I knew it would hurt Shaq but seeing him cry is doing me IN!! Their names will forever be attached! Still the best NBA Duo to do it!

  • This is heartbreaking, I love Shaq. Stay strong big man.

  • Heart goes out to Kobe and his family. Well said Shaq. We feel your pain too.

  • I can’t Imagine how he felt when he realized it was real😢

  • I was never a Lakers fan, but I've always loved great athletes and Kobe will always stand as one of the greatest to suit up. I'll miss him always.

  • Everyone has to meet Shaq somewhere and give him a big group hug. He’s making me cry man...

    • Yea if I ever run across him the next few weeks or even months will definitely him its okay we are here for you.

    • @Boris Müller that's exactly how I feel about Shaq too.... he's a big, huggable uncle, and my heart is broken for him. I grew up watching him, and I feel terrible for his pain right now.

    • Chad M Uncle Agreed. Uncle Shaq needs a hug.

  • Thank you Kobe for touching so many lives, a real icon.

  • I don’t really watch basketball but I know how much of an impact Kobe had on the world. *Fly High Kobe and GiGi* ❤️🕊

  • I think the whole world was waiting to hear from Shaq and we all feel his pain. Unthinkable tragedy 😔

  • Man that was so heart felt it got me to tears. R.I.P & my prayers go out to everyone.

  • A big man with and even bigger heart. Stay strong, Shaq.

  • I am sorry for your loss Shaq.you went thru a lot lately. We love you🙏🏼

  • Guys I’m crying hardcore man. When Shaq cried I felt it. I felt what we are all feeling. I don’t even know y’all but I love y’all. Spread the love ❤️

    • I like your ILaward channel 🥳

  • Rest In Peace Kobe you will always be loved 🙏🏽

  • Seeing shaq cry really makes us cry too. Despite their beef in the past, I'm sure they are way beyond that. They are truly close friends.

    • Did you listen to the video you are commenting on?? Shaq said although they weren’t enemies anymore they hadn’t spoken since his last game a few years ago. Does that sound truly close to you?

    • Serial Killer we do but clearly your bitter self doesn’t

    • they never even really beefed just roasted eachother lol

    • They definitely are!

    • Prayers are with all

  • Ok I'm sobbing. I feel your pain, Shaq. Condolences and prayers sent 🙏

  • Very heart felt! Much respect for opening up and Sharing

  • Such an honest, heartfelt reaction. Pain and loss can make us reflect on what we need to improve on, while we're still here. To the ones we love, It never feels like you have enough time while they are here; only after when they are gone, realizing they will be gone forever; Tragedy is almost special, but certainty cruel.

  • We feel your pain big fella, Your'e also an inspiration how you've handled this sir.As an Australian I've loved Kobe since 2010 series I think when they beat OKC when they were coming up, Thats what got me fully invested in basketball and saw how good this sport could be. Thanks for making me love basketball.

  • No matter how many times I watch this it still makes me tear up a bit when he’s talking about what he wants to joke around about at the HOF he won’t get the chance to

  • I feel your pain, Shaq. This is a huge loss for us all.
