@Melvyn Singleton When did I say he never had a chance? My point is Shaq had more chances and played with more talented players still in their prime. And who expects a rookie to lead a team to chip, especially in the 80s? That 76ers team was supposed to knock of the Celtics or Lakers who had 3-4 prime top 75 players in their lineups? You can blame him for the Sun's team, but aside from that Shaq championship teams were built and coached better. Shaq won chips with 2 top 5 all time SGs on deck in their prime. Those teams also had 2 HOF coaches who already won chips before and knew what it takes to win; Phil and Pat. Shaq had a lot more bites at the apple due to the talent around him. If Barkley played with a prime Kobe or D Wade abd got coached by Phil or Pat, he'd have at least 1 or 2 rings. Also, you can only blame a star for losing if they choked or underperformed. But Barkley was performing at an all star level throughout his career. Consider MJ dropped 63 on Bird and the Celtics but still lost the game and the series. What more could he have done against a team that was just better? Barkley didn't win because he was usually going against better overall teams, not because he was getting shut down or anything. People who aren't casuals understand you can be the best player on the world and still lose to a better managed team. Remember when Shaq had 3 other all stars and sill got swept in the playoffs every year? Or when he played with 3 other top players but the Pistons destroyed them?
@Akai Shuichi Kobe is the most overrated player ever. Funny because Larry Bird was of the greatest players ever. Called rookie Shaq best second best player after Jordan 🤔. I'm 100% Bird knows what he's talking about. Also Shaq played in an era with centers and power Forwards you were good to great and huge. Strong and athletic. He also maybe an immediate impact on his team and the entire NBA

I'll google you. 1:38 - Shaq was under 28 points 144 times in playoff games. 22 were after 2006 1:46 - His 45 point game vs Bosh was a regular season game in 2009. 2:17 - Shaq was held under 10 points in exactly 15 games from 94-06. 2:23 - In his last game he went 0-0 not 5-5. He did go 5-5 twice in 2011 but he didn't get hurt in the game after.

@Rva_804 Shaq got SWEPT four times (95 96 98 99) and then suddenly won three straight championships when Kobe entered his early prime in Spring 2000. Shaq had All-NBA first team guard Penny Hardaway in 95 and 96 and got swept two straight years. He couldn't get one game. Kobe deserves just as much credit, if not more, than Shaq for those 3 chips. Kobe was the closer on that team because Shaq couldn't touch the ball late with his free throw shooting. Kobe outplayed Shaq in 9 out of 11 West series from 01-04 and even in 2000 saved Shaq twice in the fourth quarter of Game 7 Portland (Shaq 18/9, Kobe 25/11/7) and OT of Game 4 at Indiana after Shaq fouled out. Only casuals who look at Finals stats and accolades when Shaq abused 33 year-old Euro Rik Smits, 39 or 44 year-old Mutombo (depending on the birth certificate), and a Nets center named Todd MacCulloch because he only had to play one end think Shaq was carrying that team solo. There's a reason Shaq called Kobe "the best player in the league by far" in May 2001, one month before their second ring when Kobe averaged 33ppg in the 01 West playoffs. It was true.
